Account Director, Public and Influencer Relations, Agency

Our PR + Digital agency client is looking for an Account Director to join their team, full time. Ideal client experience includes spirits and/or major well known accounts. Account Director will be a leader, and focus on a variety of client needs across Mar/Comm Strategy, Communication & Storytelling, Influencer Relations, Pitching and Activations. Account Director Responsibilities: \\- Use deep understanding of the client’s business, brand, and industry to develop integrated, multi-channel mar/comm strategies that meet client business needs and generate measurable results \\- Lead the strategic account planning process, including analyzing past results, applying learnings, and delivering a strategic point of view about the client's competitive landscape and target consumer \\- Strong communication both internally and with clients for feedback, revisions, solutions and strategies \\- Develop client business and marcom strategy, focus on communication strategy and storytelling \\- Building out multicultural & diversity campaigns \\- Campaign work includes influencer relations, proactively pitch the most influential media, developing and maintaining key influencer relationships across national print, broadcast, and online channels, and ensures the account team does the same \\- Managing account budgets within the millions \\- Develop SOW /scopes, budget, resource allocation, and provide reports on each \\- Team management, growth and mentoring - delivering effective leadership Account Director Requirements: \\- 8+ years prior work experience in PR, Advertising, Digital/Social Marketing, or related field \\- Experience managing high visibility / major clients and brands with million dollar budgets; ideally spirits experience! \\- Previous experience or background in traditional PR, with progressive moves towards digital, influencer and social PR \\- Client facing and articulate, ability to work closely with stakeholders \\- Experience writing SOWs, allocating client budgets up to 1.5 million \\- Experience working with big brands on strategic communications initiatives \\- Experience with media relations and placement success \\- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills
