Accounts Payable Specialist

Evans, Hardy + Young, Inc., is a Santa Barbara-based marketing communications firm providing advertising, public relations, media planning/buying, social media and digital/web services. The ideal candidate takes pride in everything he/she does and provides quality service to vendors, other departments and colleagues. He/she must thrive in a high energy, fast-paced environment and have a proactive attitude and excellent people skills. • Processes vendor invoices and expense reports for payment • Imports electronic media invoices and reconciles to media orders for billing • Processes media and production billing • Compiles and processes approved weekly check runs • Assists with monthly accounts payable and job audits • Prepares monthly media cash requirement projections • Researches and reconciles vendor statements • Maintains paid bills files • Assists accounting team with organizational projects for timely record keeping • Assists with other accounting projects and responsibilities as assigned • Assists with other agency responsibilities and duties as assigned Requirements • High degree of accuracy an exceptional attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to respond effectively and professionally to inquiries • Very organized with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines • Self- motivated with a strong sense of ownership • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate Excel experience • 2 – 4 years of accounts payable experience This position requires a full-time presence in our downtown Santa Barbara headquarters.
