Over the past six years, we have helped dozens of campaigns, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations raise millions online, persuade voters, and win hard-fought elections.PositionThe Ads Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing effective ad campaigns to raise money and persuade voters across multiple platforms, including Google Search, You Tube, social media, and SMS. Candidates must be located in, or willing to relocate to, the D.C. Metro area.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operations and long-term growth of ad campaigns for multiple client accounts, including back-end verification and account set-up, scripts, production, targeting, buying, budget tracking, and reportingCraft compelling, on-message copy for videos, display ads, and SMS rentalsCommunicate proactively and constructively with clients, and prepare for and participate in meetings with client teamsAssist in tracking ad and acquisition budgets in coordination with Ascend’s leadership teamCoordinate with the production team (designers, video editors, voice artists, and other vendors as needed)Brainstorm and suggest innovative strategies for ad and SMS rental campaignsCoordinate with Ascend’s external software team to keep our live client-facing dashboards current and accurateSkills & QualificationsRequirements:Exceptional writing skills, across a wide variety of platforms, messages, voices, and situationsExperience with ad platforms including Google, Meta, and programmatic DSP’s (Xandr, Trade Desk, DSPolitical)Exceptional communications skills — both for earning and maintaining trust from our firm’s clients and for leading small teams to success internallyStrong organizational skills and the ability to multitaskFlexibility and adaptability —including the ability to remain unfazed in rapid-response situations, innovate and problem-solve when you hit a roadblock, and maintain a positive attitude throughout3+ years experience in digital fundraising and/or persuasion with campaigns, firms, party organizations, and/or nonprofit entitiesGenuine passion and enthusiasm about raising money for Democrats and helping them win electionsCompensationThe starting salary for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 depending on experience.Ascend Digital Strategies offers a generous benefit package, including:A health insurance stipend covering 100% of the cost of a gold-level insurance plan plus 100% dental;A 401(k) plan with employer matching after six months’ employment;An open leave policy;Opportunities for bonuses based on performance and business development;12 weeks paid parental leave; andAscend Digital Strategies is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination or harassment of any kind.
