Job SummaryAdams Outdoor Advertising (AOA), the leading advertising platform in Lansing and the 4th largest Outdoor Advertising firm in the U.S., is seeking Account Executives (AEs) to support its sales team. Successful candidates will be driven, self‑motivated individuals who can collaborate with colleagues and a wide range of prospective clients in a fast‑paced environment.
Program OverviewAEs will participate in the Adams Onboarding Program, designed to understand Out‑of‑Home Advertising and its power to drive the most effective return on investment for our clients. The program includes:
Introduction to AOA’s best practicesParticipation in AOA’s firmwide "Lunch and Learn" program, which highlights innovative sales techniques and helps to drive talent developmentAssignment of a senior mentor to guide initial experience and long‑term successSignificant exposure to leadership in the Lansing market, including the General ManagerResponsibilitiesApproach existing and new advertiser clientsStructure advertising packages and products across AOA’s portfolio to meet advertiser needsHandle internal responsibilities including contracting, scheduling and collections trackingCommunicate with internal leadership regarding sales projections and trackingCollaborate with colleagues to create and maintain a positive working environmentLiaise with AEs in other AOA markets to identify potential opportunities and cross‑pollinate salesCompensation & AdvancementInitial compensation structure consists of a fixed salary. Over time, it transitions to salary plus commissions. With demonstrated success, there are opportunities to obtain increasing levels of responsibility, a leadership position, and, if appropriate, transfer to other AOA markets.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or equivalent experienceOne to three years of direct media or relevant sales experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient with computer software and technologyGood working knowledge of marketing researchWilling and able to travel, if requiredValid driver’s licenseAdditional MarketsAOA also operates in the following markets: Ann Arbor/Kalamazoo (MI), Beaufort/Charleston/Florence (SC), Charlotte (NC), Eastern Pennsylvania, Madison (WI), Norfolk (VA), Champaign/Peoria (IL).
