Advertising and Sponsorship Account Executive

Overview PressBox, Jmore and County Sports Zone are locally owned media brands with powerful reach and loyal audiences across Maryland. We’re hiring an Account Executive to sell advertising campaigns and sponsorship programs to local and regional businesses. ·Targeted digital campaigns for niche community audiences (example: Jmore digital campaign with monthly reporting and newsletter) ·Campaign-based seasonal programs combining print + digital + newsletters (example: Merriweather seasonal rollout) Who We’re Looking For ·2+ years of experience in advertising sales, media sales, sponsorship sales, or marketing ·Confident communicator with strong follow-up habits ·Comfortable selling packages that include print + digital + email + sponsorship ·Self-directed and accountable — you can manage your time and pipeline ·Wants a long-term role and the ability to build recurring revenue Compensation & Benefits (Summary) ·Base salary + commission ·Higher commission rates for growing revenue and bringing in new business ·Health insurance (including dental/vision) with employer contribution ·Paid time off ·401(k) ·Pre-approved client entertainment reimbursement ·Gas allowance ·Note: Commissions are paid on collected revenue Why This Role is a Great Fit Unlike many sales roles, you’re not selling a “cheap marketing campaign.” You’re selling multi-platform campaigns and sponsorships that clients can feel proud to be part of — and that produce real visibility, branding, and community credibility.
