The individual will report to the Advertising Manager.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (not Required)Education level – bachelor’s degree in marketing or another arts field is preferred.Experience in a relevant field is preferred (including internships).Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proficient knowledge in advertising and marketing tactics.Willingness to try innovative marketing strategies.Excellent time management, able to balance many projects at once.Spanish speaking is not required but is a plus.Essential DutiesEach employee is expected to be knowledgeable of the Lottery's Responsible Gaming program, including the No Underage Play and Play Within Your Means messaging, and will ensure retailers and players are aware of the program and provided information, as necessary.Plays a supporting role in developing campaigns that reinforce brand support, encourage player ownership, and win the hearts and minds of every Floridian.Serves as lead and/or backup on assigned tasks, with oversight and direction from the Advertising Manager.Reviews branded materials, campaign proposals and advertising concepts, and provides constructive feedback based on Marketing’s core strategies and brand guidelines.Assembles marketing materials and presentation-style reports for executive level speaking engagements.Coordination of Spanish translations/review between the different teams/departments.Be able to create and/or present marketing reports, materials, and strategies as needed.Consults with appropriate departments and managers to develop programs and promotions that meet assigned marketing and product objectives.Serves as back-up delegate for Advertising Manager and Advertising Consultant on deadline driven projects assigned to Marketing.Works with the Digital Marketing team to assist with social – including social prize fulfillment and social content approval, and other social related needs.Coordination of “out of home” advertising show schedule planning that includes jackpot boards, the Lottery HQ EMC board, FSVM screens, and ESMM screens.Assists in the day-to-day oversight and management of the brand budget.Assisting advertising manager in contract monitor filing.All other marketing duties as assigned for the good of the agency.Occasional overnight travel may be required.Attendance is an essential function of this position.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesSelf-motivated and proactive with an ability to operate with independent judgement.Knowledge of Marketing principles and techniques of effective communication.
