Advertising Outreach Specialist

This position is advertising sales focused (including print, digital, sponsorships and new initiatives), client facing and supports the various selling activities of the advertising sales team on a local and national level. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Generate qualified leads for the advertising account executivesMust be comfortable with cold call outreach, and excel at verbal and written communicationAchieve a high volume of outbound telephone calls, custom emails, texts and social media outreach in order to maintain a pipeline of qualified leadsCoordinate meetings for the account executivesServe as the first point of contact for inbound leadsData entry, Microsoft Excel skills and Google Drive capabilities are a mustCreate and maintain databases of target account listsTrack sales prospects through the full sales cycleFulfill various client requests as needed and deliver superior customer serviceAttend industry networking events, representing the magazine and its portfolio of products/servicesProspect and cultivate leads into long-term clientele and create/manage prospecting listsAttend, support and assist with all magazine related eventsActively participate in marketing and sales meetings and assist where necessaryAssist in managing sales CRM, various Google Drives and Excel Docs in order to keep active prospect lists current, up-to-date and organizedSupport the sales team with lead gen and outreach, as well as the publisher as needed on a daily/weekly basisAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented and goal-oriented sales environment Successful candidates will possess the following skills/abilities: A self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-pace environment Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-throughOutstanding oral and written communication skills and ability to work well with othersIntermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Suite Capable of analyzing and understanding sales data and research Proven ability to present and communicate effectivelyMust be outgoing, organized, efficient, team player and a strategic thinkerEager to learn and grow in the positionKeen understanding of Atlanta, the business community and/or the marketing and advertising landscape is a plusExperience with media sales is a plus, or positions where face-to-face client interaction and communication were key requirements of the job
