Advertising Sales Account Representative

Centrally located Yakima Valley. Come join our team and work in one of the most centrally located towns in Washington. The Yakima Herald Republic is seeking a skilled sales representative to build relationships and help our clients grow. We’re the largest media company in the region and provide a robust portfolio of print and digital marketing solutions. This is an outside sales position and includes $50,000 annual base, up to $70,000 a year with commission.

Job Requirements

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Able to manage multiple projects

· Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal

· Attend all sales meetings and company training as directed

Experience

Candidate should have at least two years’ experience in a consultative selling role, account management, and presenting solutions to business owners.

Skills and Abilities / Lifting Requirements (Maximum weight required)

This position requires a strong aptitude for learning and working with the Microsoft suite of products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must have reliable transportation. Good organizational skills, multi-tasking, and good understanding of the digital landscape as it relates to websites and the internet.

Minimum Education, certifications or licenses

High school diploma.

Must interact and work well with others internally and externally. Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Supervision Received

Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Attend weekly sales meetings, training, adhere to deadlines and meet revenue goals

Primary Job Location (Indicate whether the position is remote, or travel required)

The position is based at our Yakima Herald Republic office. This position reports to the office each morning and as an outside sales representative is expected to set and attend appointments throughout the week. This is not a work from home position.
