Advertising Sales & Business Development Representative

Position: ADVERTISING SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE Remote | Flexible Schedule | Hourly + 10% Commission The Munising Beacon is developing an expanded advertising sales and business development position focused on building relationships with businesses, organizations and community partners while identifying and developing new revenue opportunities for the company. This is not intended to be a traditional high-pressure sales position. We are looking for someone who can build relationships, listen to what a client is trying to accomplish and connect that client with the right combination of Beacon products, services and creative opportunities. We also want someone who can recognize opportunities we haven’t developed yet and help turn good ideas into viable products, partnerships and revenue streams.Responsibilities may include:Developing new advertising accountsMaintaining and growing assigned client relationshipsPrint advertising salesWebsite and digital advertisingNewsletter sponsor shipsEvent and community sponsor shipsSports, streaming and podcast sponsor shipsSpecial sections and special publicationsInsert advertising and distribution opportunitiesAdvertising and branding packagesCreative-service packagesDeveloping opportunities involving posters, flyers, social media graphics, logos, business cards and other design servicesHelping clients develop advertising campaigns and promotional conceptsDeveloping school, sports and community advertising opportunitiesIdentifying and developing regional advertising opportunitiesIdentifying new partnerships, products and revenue streamsIdentifying, pursuing or assisting with grant opportunitiesHelping develop recurring and long-term revenue opportunitiesMaintaining accurate sales and client recordsFollowing up on leads and developing a consistent sales pipelineWorking with editorial, design and management teams to coordinate client projects
