Advertising Sales Executive

Big Green Umbrella Media is Iowa's largest locally owned niche publishing company, reaching nearly a half-million monthly readers through a variety of newspapers, magazines, websites, and social media platforms. The team includes around 25 full-time employees and over 50 additional contributors. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Des Moines Metropolitan Area for an Advertising Sales Executive. The Advertising Sales Executive will collaborate with the marketing and editorial teams to tailor advertising solutions that align with the company's media products, including newspapers, magazines, and digital platforms. Qualifications Proficiency in Sales and adeptness at presenting client-focused Sales Presentations Experience with Marketing and Business Development strategies Familiarity with advertising for Magazines and other media formats Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets Self-motivated with effective organizational and time-management skills Knowledge of the local market or prior media sales experience is a plus Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
