Position Overview

We are seeking a self-motivated Advertising Sales Representative to develop new business and grow our advertiser portfolio throughout St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay.

This role involves prospecting, understanding business owners’ needs, presenting advertising solutions, following up, and closing sales. Depending on the commission option selected, the representative may also provide ongoing customer service and account management.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify prospective advertisers and develop a consistent pipeline of opportunities.

• Contact business owners and decision-makers through calls, email, social media, networking, and in-person visits.

• Learn about each prospect’s business, audience, marketing goals, and budget.

• Present appropriate Candas Advertising packages and explain pricing and service expectations.

• Prepare proposals using approved packages and pricing.

• Follow up consistently, address questions, and secure signed agreements.

• Keep accurate records of prospect conversations, next steps, proposals, and sales.

• Coordinate the handoff of client information, advertising materials, and campaign requirements.

• For recurring and hybrid commission plans, maintain regular client communication and coordinate account requests with Candas Advertising.

• Represent Candas Advertising professionally within the local business community.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.

• Comfort with prospecting and asking for the sale.

• Ability to organize a pipeline and manage priorities independently.

• Basic proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and sales tracking tools.

• Sales, business development, advertising, or marketing experience preferred.

• Local business relationships or networking experience are a plus.

• Ability to meet prospects throughout the assigned market as needed.

Commission Options

Option 1 — Upfront Commission

Receive a one-time commission equal to one month of the recurring service package sold, paid after the customer’s first payment is collected. The representative handles the sale and account handoff; Candas Advertising manages ongoing customer service.

Example: A $1,200/month package generates a $1,200 one-time commission.

Option 2 — Recurring Commission

Receive 20% of collected monthly service fees while the client remains active and paying and the representative continues providing account management.

Example: A $1,200/month package generates $240 per paid month.

Option 3 — Hybrid Commission

Receive 50% of one month’s recurring service fee after the first customer payment is collected, plus 10% of collected monthly service fees beginning in month two. The representative maintains the client relationship, with Candas Advertising supporting service delivery.

Example: A $1,200/month package generates $600 upfront and $120 per paid month beginning in month two.

All commissions are subject to the written commission agreement. Compensation examples are illustrative and do not guarantee earnings.
