About the RoleEssex Media Group is looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Advertising Sales Representative to connect with local businesses across Boston’s North Shore.
If you dread being chained to a desk making hundreds of cold calls a day, this role is for you. We focus on outside, consultive sales: meeting business owners face-to-face, understanding their goals, and helping them grow through print and digital advertising campaigns.

What You’ll DoGet out in the community to prospect, network, and build long-term relationships with local business owners.Run in-person discovery meetings to solve marketing challenges and propose targeted advertising solutions.Sell integrated marketing packages across our print catalog and Itemlive.com.Manage accounts from initial pitch through campaign launch and renewal.
What We’re Looking ForPeople-First Mindset: Confident, articulate, and genuinely interested in learning about local businesses.Self-Motivated: Independent and organized enough to manage your own daily schedule and sales pipeline.Mobility: A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (essential for regular in-person client visits across the North Shore).Experience: Background in sales, customer service, or retail management is a plus, but drive and communication skills matter most.
Compensation & LogisticsPay: $45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year (base pay plus commission upside)Job Type: Full-time, In-person / Field-basedLicense: Driver’s License (Required)
