Position Summary Advertising Account Executive manages and prospects advertising clients for 2 publications, print advertising sales, digital media and SEO. Responsible for bringing in new clients and closing contracts and accountable for weekly and monthly sales goals. Key Responsibilities • Acquire new accounts and negotiates contracts using needs/benefits selling strategy • Effectively prospect using multiple lead sources • Develop and maintain positive business relationships in assigned territory • Manages accounts and acts as contact between client and creative/production team • Presents creative proposal to clients for approval and adheres to production deadlines • Helps in the creative process for ad design and management • Utilizes CRM management system effectively to prospect new clients and serve existing • Computer skills word and excel necessary Sales Accountability • 20 sales calls per day • 2 new contracts week • Sales results measured through Highrise weekly and monthly Professional experience and skills The successful candidate in this role will be able to anticipate obstacles and have a sense of urgency as there are daily deadlines to adhere to in the production process of our 2 publications; The Coast News and The Inland Edition. Strong business acumen and ability to help present and potential clients achieve successful advertising programs is key. Need good communication and presentation skills with an understanding of advertising and marketing and a strong attention to detail.
