This includes PG NewsSlide, [please apply online] the Post-Gazette, and additional digital marketing solutions like paid search, paid social, targeted display, and email marketing.The successful candidate will enhance relationships with current accounts and target potential advertisers to acquire new accounts. This is a collaborative team based position that requires a solid knowledge of competing media, marketing and industry practices.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications or commensurate work experience1 year of media experience, preferably digital marketing is requiredPrior experience with digital and print advertising sales experience preferredAn understanding and passion for digital marketing including paid search, paid social, streaming radio, CTV, email marketing and YELPExperience in consultative selling process, including pre-call discovery and setting appointments, completing a comprehensive needs analysis with potential clients, creating proposals, and presenting and closing businessAbility to use a CRM to track sales activity and revenueThe ability to use research materials and data to create marketing solution proposals using PowerPointThe ability to assist clients with advertising copy and coordinating the production and scheduling of advertising in collaboration with other departmentsSKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:You must think and act like a sales hunter. Also, we will not hire individuals that use nicotine products, and will conduct a pre-employment screen to test for the use of nicotine products.Work RemotelyNoPOSITION SUMMARYDevelop, service and maintain new advertising accounts for Post-Gazette and post-gazette.com through the sale of all our advertising products including but not limited to ROP, special sections, special products, niche publications and [please apply online] FUNCTIONS include the following (though other duties may be assigned as applicable):Develops and maintains account records and territory sales call plans.Demonstrates a successful record identifying and developing new sales and inactive advertisers in assigned geographical area or category as assigned by supervisor.Orders advertisements and follow through the entire process to ensure accuracy and compliance with Company’s deadlines, credit policies and customer’s specifications.Write layout and artwork specifications for advertisements.Sell contracts for advertising.Handle all billing problems relating to accounts for which responsible.Coordinate with support staff on handling of ad copy and orders.Ability to use marketing and research material and effectively deliver successful salespresentations.Develop and maintain a solid knowledge of competing media, marketing and industry practices.Maintain required advertising lineage as determined by supervisor.Handle additional related assignments as assigned by supervisor.File sales, mileage and other reports as required for Company records.Adhere to credit and office procedures; administer exceptions in accordance with Company policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
