As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with the SP business to develop short and long-term financial models, manage goals, evaluate new business opportunities, and drive strategic business initiatives to support efficiencies and growth. This role also has regular interaction with product and finance leaders within Amazon Advertising and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. As a finance partner, you will have the opportunity to work with large advertising data sets to influence the long-term evolution of our products and develop insights into various aspects of our business.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Serve as a finance partner for the SP product leaders on strategic initiatives, leading business modeling and financial analysis;Develop performance metrics, design and manage reporting mechanisms and business processes to drive accountability and controllership;Facilitate financial review meetings with product and finance leaders and work with business to drive effective execution;Develop financial models for new business concepts, experimentation, and special projects;Collaborate with business intelligence engineers and data engineers to deep dive and investigate business performance and uncover insights for the business;A day in the lifeSponsored Product Finance provides both controllership and mechanism management (Weekly Business Reviews, Monthly Financial Reviews, Goals, Planning, etc), along with providing business insights and analytics (deep dives, variance analysis, Finance-driven free cash flow goals, etc).Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experienceExperience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsPreferred Qualifications6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experienceMBA, or CPAKnowledge of SQL/ETLExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
