Animal Care Technician

Performs cleaning, sanitization, and preparation of caging and accessories by processing dirty and cleaning cages and equipment for a variety of laboratory animal species in a timely manner. Sanitize all areas of facility per department SOP's. The ability to be flexible and adjust to changing conditions/requirements is essential. **Preferred Qualifications:** Prefer one (1) year of animal care experience in an animal lab environment, veterinarian clinic, or other related experience; also prefer certification by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science as an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification. Regularly required to move about the animal lab facility; frequently lifts up to 50 pounds; pushes/pulls/and/or moves up to 500 pounds with assistance of a cart; occasionally required to climb or stoop.
