The assistant director of development is responsible for developing and expanding philanthropic investment opportunities for the university. Specific responsibilities include management of an assigned portfolio; the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual donors and prospective donors; strategic donor engagement including an emphasis on substantive, strategic appointments; proposal development; identification and solicitation of annual leadership gifts (defined as gifts of $2,500+) from individuals. **Preferred Qualifications:** Demonstrated Ability to: * Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. * Maintain confidentiality, to the extent allowed by law.
