Assistant Marketing & Retail Manager @ Non Profit Resale store

Have you always wanted to work for a non-profit and make an impact on the lives of young people by providing students with opportunities to expand their education through scholarships? WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Create a marketing plan to draw more customers into the store Work with volunteers to create an online store Establish rapport with store visitors and identify their needs in hopes of attracting them as returning customers Ensure availability of merchandise and services by receiving donations and maintaining inventories. Formulate pricing by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotions; authorizing clearance sales; and studying trends Help develop and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in cooperation with the PHSF Board of Directors for: Recruiting volunteers, coordinating schedules, and setting expectations Establish and maintain a donation process to ensure community members are aware of what items are accepted Work with current business partners and create new community partnerships Initiate and manage personnel policies and programs Maintain the sustainability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements SKILL AND ATTRIBUTES TO BE SUCCESSFUL Customer service: Able to establish repour with customers and provide a friendly and responsive atmosphere Conflict Resolution: Able to deal with confrontation and solve complaints as they arise Leadership: Ability to establish, implement, and maintain new processes/procedures Collaboration: Experienced working directly with people who look to you for guidance, help and delegation Trust: Honesty and integrity are key, and you hold yourself and others to a high standard. Respectful of all individuals, co-workers, staff, volunteers, customers, board members Organized, can create order from chaos Physical dexterity = able to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior to the advent of the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship fund, approximately $7,000 was awarded to PHS graduating seniors each year.
