Role Description The Assistant Media Director is a full-time, hybrid role based in Phoenix, AZ, with flexibility for some work from home. This role supports the development and execution of strategic media plans across traditional, digital, and emerging channels, ensuring campaigns align with client goals and brand positioning. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with account, creative, and analytics teams; conducting audience and market research; building media recommendations; and managing campaign budgets, timelines, and optimizations. The Assistant Media Director will oversee media buying activities, monitor performance metrics, and prepare reports and insights to guide ongoing improvements. This role also participates in client meetings and presentations, helping translate complex media strategies into clear, actionable plans.
Qualifications
Strong media planning and media strategy skills, with experience building integrated, multi-channel campaigns.Proficiency in digital media and digital marketing, including performance tracking, optimization, and reporting.Familiarity with new media platforms and trends, and the ability to identify innovative opportunities for clients.Experience with media research tools, audience insights, and competitive analysis to inform recommendations.Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple projects with strong attention to detail and organization.Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex information clearly to clients and internal teams.Collaborative mindset with experience working in an agency or fast-paced marketing environment preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
