Assistant Store Manager

Store Manager Position A small grocery store with a staff of 20 people is looking for a hands-on store manager who is great in empowering teams, understand business metrics and can handle day to day pressure of running a small store. • Maintains store cleanliness standards and maintains log of historical records as well as schedule of future events. • Develops sales, food waste and customer feedback goals for the team. • Ability to carry carts with products • Regularly required to walk about the store • Must be able to perform duties Job Qualifications: • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment • Motivates team to treat each customer as “royals”. • Ability to establish goals, guide employee performance to ensure the quality and completion of work assignments • Ability to understand and apply management principles concerning budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses • Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack and perform general cleaning duties to company standards • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner, following instructions and giving attention to detail • Meets any state and local requirements for food handling Minimum Education: High School or GED Minimum Experience: 1 year leadership or supervisory capacity in retail or restaurant environment, leading a team Preferred Experience: 1-3 years leadership experience in a food service environment Licenses/Certifications: Serve Safe Certified a plus but not mandatory Wages: $20-25/hr.
