Associate Creative Director

Lead Surge LLC is a small but mighty advertising agency specializing in B2C direct response lead generation. We are seeking an Associate Creative Director, Copy to help us in our never-ending quest to craft compelling and effective creative. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities and duties: • Concept, write and produce direct response campaigns across all platforms, ensuring that messaging and visuals align with the client’s lead generation goals • Understand various execution formats and incorporate creative best practices for a wide breadth of media channels, spanning both traditional and digital • Manage a creative team of four (with sub-reports), providing guidance and leadership to copywriters, designers and production associates • Maintain clear lines of communication with clients and internal stakeholders regarding progress and performance of projects, initiatives and collaborations • Establish budgets and timelines for both short-term and long-term projects, planning tasks accordingly to ensure that goals, budgets and deadlines are met • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, strategies and technologies in the DR marketing space • Evaluate creative team performance and guide improvements, fostering their growth and development • Possess enough self-assurance and in-the-trenches experience to push back on clients when you see a better path for them • 8+ years of experience concepting, writing and producing direct response campaigns • Lead generation experience in both traditional and digital advertising • A passion for traditional media…yes, it is still alive and well • A desire to allow the data to drive the creative strategies and executions • Ability to produce and recognize compelling copy, design and fresh approaches to lead generation • Experience leading and managing teams • Exceptional interpersonal skills that establish and help maintain long-term client relationships • Excellent project management skills – you will be juggling many tasks in a deadline-driven environment • A bachelor’s degree in creative writing, marketing, advertising, communications, or relevant field is preferred • A sense of humor and humility • Comfortable working in a Mac environment The Lead Surge office is based in Canton, MA.
