The associate director of social strategy (AD) develops, implements, and maintains forward-thinking social media engagement strategies across platforms and communities to support the business goals and priorities of the agency and its clients. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, has command over the full social landscape, and can clearly articulate the role social plays in the overall brand strategy. This role requires a hybrid of creative and strategic skills, including expertise in the nuances of paid social advertising. 7+ years of experience dedicated to social media strategy, digital marketing, or integrated communications, preferably at an agency.Deep expertise across major social platforms, social listening tools, creator/influencer ecosystems, emerging trends, and paid social best practices.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data, research, and cultural insights into clear strategic direction.Proven experience leading large, complex client businesses and influencing cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing solutions.Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and client management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at both working team and executive levels.Experience with issues management, social listening, and crisis communications.Working experience with social listening tools, platform ad managers, and content scheduling tools.A bachelor’s degree in journalism, advertising, strategic communications, or public relations or relevant experience.
