Brand Assistant, Beauty

The Lede Company is looking for a Beauty Brand Assistant to join the team in our New York office. We are seeking enthusiastic candidates who can work in a fast-paced environment, are driven, and have strong communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in beauty, skincare, wellness, fashion, lifestyle, and culture, and a keen eye for what’s driving the conversation in the beauty industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Administrative duties (scheduling, expenses, booking travel, managing a high volume of in-bound and out-bound emails, etc.)
* Manage responsibilities on 4-6 beauty accounts
* Assist in creating professional and client-ready presentations or Excel spreadsheets, including media lists, influencer trackers, and product seeding plans
* Assist in drafting press releases, pitches, and other supporting media materials, including product launch announcements and beauty editor and influencer outreach
* Conduct business research, including beauty trend, competitor, and consumer insights research
* Support client projects from the brainstorm/ideation phase to plan development, execution, and reporting
* Help manage product seeding, PR mailers, and sample requests, and track coverage and placements
* Work alongside partner teams within the agency as well as client partner agencies
* Support onsite at events, including product launches, influencer and press events, and brand activations, coordinating logistics at all stages of programming, as well as retail promotions
* Contribute to monthly, project, or event reporting and recaps across all clients, including earned media, social, and influencer performance
* Ability to work in-office 4 days a week in our New York office and work overtime (evenings and some weekends as needed)

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, or Marketing
* PR agency or relevant in-house professional work experience required, preferably with beauty, personal care, or lifestyle brands
* Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Outstanding interpersonal skills
* Business acumen with the ability to communicate across departments within the organization
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
* Strong attention to detail
* Deep understanding of pop culture and beauty trends
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing, with a strong understanding of beauty content on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
* Familiarity with the beauty media landscape, including editors, creators, and influencers
* Takes initiative and is resourceful
