The Business and Marketing Specialist executes advanced-level tasks in communications, marketing, and/or public relations, including strategizing, creating, coordinating, and overseeing diverse promotional and informational initiatives. Additionally, this role involves the formulation and execution of economic development plans, programs, and services crucial to the Town’s future growth.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is required. • Manages internal communications by acting as a conduit between management and internal audience, provides feedback from internal audience to managers, and develops newsletters, informational materials, and other related documents to facilitate communication. • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with media representatives, community and business organizations, and other stakeholders and serves as a Town representative on various committees and fosters collaborative relationships that benefit the Town. • Assists and/or develops the strategic plan that includes Town marketing, economic development campaigns, and media and communications tactics and ensures implementation of all campaign elements.
