Business Development & Marketing Manager

DescriptionAdventure Tours is a luxury charter bus company headquartered in Accokeek, Maryland, with additional locations in NC, NY, PA & VA. We are looking for a business development and marketing manager to join our growing team. The primary role for this position is day-to-day incoming sales and marketing responsibilities. The position can grow, and we are looking for you to take on additional tasks to help Adventure Tours continued growth and development.Each position within Adventure Tours comes with set goals and expectations. Below are the requirements and responsibilities for your positions.Requirements:Excellent analytical and communication skills, both verbal and writtenOrganized and detail-orientedAbility to handle difficult client interactionsMust be a “self-starter" with strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritizeMust be Computer savvy, having used Coach Manager software in the past is a plusCustomer service experienceTransportation/tourism experience is a plusAbility to successfully negotiateTwo+ years sales experienceExperience with bid writing is a plusResponsibilities:Entry of incoming sales requests into our customer databaseResponding to quotes received within 2 hoursAnswer phone calls and provide charter quotes to customersFollow up with customers on any needs or requirements to close a sale(s)Act as company liaison to passengers, clients, and partnersAssist in enhancing sales process for better organization and closing ratiosAssist in updating company profiles and sitesCreate reports needed for managementCreate/follow up on marketing opportunitiesAssist in generating outside sales leadsAttend transportation/tourism networking functions as they are scheduledAssist with proposal & bid writingOther tasks as assigned
