You are accountable for outcomes and responsible for ensuring the campaign delivers.If you naturally look at a book and immediately see how it should be positioned, who it’s for, and how to make it take off—this role is built for you.What You’ll DoOwn 3–5 book campaigns at a time, from planning through post-launchTake go-to-market strategy from Book Growth Strategist and translate it into executable plansDevelop and own core marketing copy and messaging, including hooks, taglines, and campaign languageCreate campaign briefs and creative direction that guide execution across marketing channelsOwn campaign direction from concept through launch, partnering with internal teams to execute key campaign initiatives and high-impact momentsAct as the single point of accountability for campaign performanceLead campaign kickoff and internal alignment across teamsProvide strategic direction and support execution across social, paid media, creative, publicity, retail, and eventsIdentify breakout opportunities through stunts, partnerships, influencer moments, and cultural trendsMake real-time decisions on campaign direction (what to scale, shift, or stop)Ensure execution teams deliver against campaign strategy and prioritiesPrioritize resources and focus across campaigns to ensure the highest-impact work gets doneTrack performance and continuously optimize campaigns based on results and insightsSupport key campaign execution needs when necessary, helping ensure high-priority initiatives are delivered successfullyConduct post-launch campaign analyses and debriefs, evaluating performance, identifying key learnings, and making recommendations for future campaignsPlus any additional tasks as neededWhat We’re Looking For5+ years in marketing, publishing, media, entertainment, or consumer brandsProven ability to own outcomes, not just contribute to themStrong strategic thinking paired with creative instinctsDeep understanding of audience behavior, fandom, and what drives attentionAbility to manage multiple campaigns at once in a fast-paced environmentDecisive, accountable, and comfortable making calls with imperfect informationStrong taste level in messaging, positioning, and creative directionPublishing experience is a plus—but not required.
