Communications Manager

LS&Co. is looking for a seasoned employee communications manager to join our Corporate Affairs team, working with the regional Americas business. You will partner with stakeholders company wide to keep employees within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil and other in the region informed on major company news, connected to our brands and products, and engaged in a two-way dialogue. You will also share important updates from the regional business with employees around the world. You’ll activate employees as brand ambassadors and connecting our employees within the Americas region with our purpose and products while supporting the executive communications needs of the Americas Leadership Team. You’ll do this by creating memorable communications and engaging events. You will be reporting into the Director of Communications.

Position Summary

Executive Communications
Partner with and influence executives within the Americas region, providing counsel that reflects an understanding of their business and leadership style.
Develop executive presentations, including in PowerPoint and videos
Draft a variety of communications, including key messages /Q&A, speeches and other scripts, presentations, intranet articles, and other general communications.
Use tool kits and resources provided by the global team to support leadership communications.

Employee Communications
Manage employee communications programs for the Americas region to foster employee engagement and create business literacy.
Achieve compelling and creative content that is aligned with the corporate and regional business strategies.
Partner with the corporate events manager and other internal partners to produce product launch events, town hall meetings and other business educational and engagement activities.
Create programs to activate employees as brand ambassadors.
Help manage the structure, programs and tools that engage employees and create meaningful conversations and interactions.
Use data-based decision-making to evaluate and accomplish communications plans; work to continually improve effectiveness of outreach strategies.
Collaborate with colleagues in Corporate Affairs and the brand teams to guide storytelling objectives across all internal channels, collaborating with colleagues who manage external PR and thought leadership programs.

Community & Culture
Support the global team to develop regional projects for corporate citizenship, grant making and employee community involvement programs with our employee engagement goals.
Help to advance the mission of the employee Red Tab Foundation across LSA markets.
Partner with global team to adapt global content supports and tools for regional market needs.

Experience required
6+ years’ experience in a communications or public relations agency setting, with experience developing and implementing employee communications programs.
Creative approach to communicating strategy and engaging employees.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Deep experience in and understanding of social media and digital platforms, including Yammer and Twitter.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to coordinate numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Creative, adept storyteller.
Sound judgment and impeccable discretion handling sensitive and confidential information.
Experience collaborating and influencing diverse partners in a matrixed organization.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Motivated self-initiator who can recognize and seize opportunities
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, writing, English, communication, PR or related discipline.
