Communications, PR + Advertising FT Faculty

The required degree must be completed by the start date.Experience: At least 3-5 years' experience in advertising is preferred, including experience in any of the following areas: Advertising Account Management, Media Planning, Media Buying, and Brand Strategy.Duties/Expectations: We are seeking a collaborative and accomplished colleague with advertising specific expertise to strengthen our proposed Public Relations + Advertising sequence and support undergraduate teaching, graduate teaching, research, and service within the School of Communications. The ideal candidate will support the mission of the School and Brigham Young University and will be respectful and supportive of the roles and responsibilities of professional and professorial faculty, while also maintaining a close working relationship will School of Communications staff. These experiences are transformative for student learning and highly prioritized by the School of Communications and Brigham Young University more broadly.It is expected that the selected candidate takes an active role in sequence meetings, School councils, and University related service. It is also expected that the candidate actively supports the graduate program within the school. Applicants who are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints include a one-page mission alignment statement that describes understanding of and commitment to the Mission of Brigham Young University and the AIMS of a BYU Education.Employment RequirementsAll new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.All faculty are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
