SUMMARY: Incumbent reports to the Director of Communications & Public Engagement and is responsible for creating and distributing compelling content across targeted social media platforms to communicate with the city’s audiences and drive traffic to its websites. • Write and/or edit articles, web content, presentations, marketing materials, and other communications to internal and external audiences. • Assist in the development of a social media plan and strategy and integrate social media into all Communications Department activities and programs. • Implement social media promotions and engagement programs and manage the City’s advertising on social media and the Internet. • Knowledge of all forms of social media with emphasis on growing presence • Design platforms for creating engaging graphics and stories.
