Construction Billboard Installer Latham New York

This entry-level, full-time role provides training and equipment to start a career with Lamar Advertising. In this role you’ll be expected to • Remove and hang vinyls and flexes for installation; cut and prepare materials for installation; install copies on Tri-Visions • Build and install extensions, clear brush/weeds, perform storm damage and minor electrical repairs, maintain a clean workshop • Use power and manual tools following safety regulations • Attend installer and construction safety meetings as required • Maintain operation vehicles, construction tools, equipment, and machinery • Take completion photos as proof of installation What we’re looking for in YOU • Ability to work alone and manage your schedule effectively • Willingness to work at heights up to 100 feet • Strong communication skills; fluency in English (reading and speaking) • Willingness to work well with others • Basic computer skills (Internet, Word, Excel) • Ability to work from ladders and to carry ladders and tools to the site • Knowledge of electrical skills and techniques • Knowledge of fabrication skills and techniques • Ability to read technical documents (blueprints/diagrams) • Knowledge of safety regulations (Lamar, DOT, OSHA) • Ability to safely operate construction equipment • Ability to climb and work at heights safely • Ability to document installations with photos and written logs • Mathematical skills relevant to construction and operations tasks • Ability to set priorities appropriately Education and Experience Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required • Valid driver’s license required • OSHA 10-hour Construction course required • CDL and non-CDL licenses are a plus but not required • Preference for prior experience at heights up to 200 ft; construction/billboard installation experience is a plus Please note: If you submit your application, you will be asked to complete an 8-15 minute personality assessment.
