This position blends content strategy, editorial storytelling, and marketing writing, translating complex public sector challenges, government priorities, and mission-driven initiatives into clear, value-driven narratives that resonate with target audiences.

The Content Strategist partners closely with product and solutions marketing, growth marketing, demand generation, creative teams, and subject matter experts to create content that educates buyers, differentiates SHI in the market, and drives measurable growth across the funnel.

* Own the written elements of full-funnel content for assigned solution pillars, including blogs, eBooks, whitepapers, webinars, email copy, and landing pages, with clear goals, target personas, key messages, and an appropriate format mix across awareness, consideration, and decision stages.
* Collaborate with the broader team to develop non-written content formats, including video, podcasts, infographics, and social content.
* Write product-adjacent and partner content, including solution briefs, one-pagers, and FAQs, and collaborate with the creative content team on web copy.
* Bring proven ideas for building awareness and demand in an AI-first world, from buyer-led topic clusters to modular, reusable content.
* Use AI effectively as part of the research and drafting process while applying a human lens to all content and adhering to SHI’s brand tone of voice and guidelines.
* Share responsibility for uploading content to the Resource Hub using WordPress and ensuring content is tagged effectively.
* Track industry trends relevant to assigned topic areas and connect them to SHI’s services and solutions in relevant, differentiated ways.
* Partner with the Director of Editorial and Research and external agencies to conduct primary and secondary research and create industry-leading thought leadership content.
* Consistently identify opportunities to incorporate other solution pillar messaging into content and campaigns or connect content to overarching company narratives.
* Improve existing content through refreshes, repackaging, and optimization.
* Apply SEO and AEO best practices to improve content discoverability, search rankings, and organic performance across web and campaign assets.

**What Success Looks Like:**

* Content is clear, credible, compelling, and grounded in real buyer needs.
* Content drives measurable results, including stronger engagement, conversion, lead quality, and sales usability.
* Content planning is structured around buyer journeys and topic clusters, with clear handoffs to campaigns and enablement.
* Content leads with insight, reflects real trends and research, and performs in both traditional search and AI-driven discovery.
