The HT Group is now hiring a skilled and energetic Communications Specialist for a great company in Southwest Austin. * Provide communications support for enterprise projects so that end users are informed and have the materials they need to successfully adopt new tools and systems * Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of communication strategies and campaigns for a variety of media, marketing, public relations, and change management programs * Collect and interpret informational material and create optimized content to support and promote association activities and services to internal and external stakeholders, policyholders and the general public * Develop and maintain working relationships with pertinent internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective dissemination of informational material * Plan, compose, verify, edit, and distribute appropriate informational materials, press releases, speeches, presentations, articles, bulletins, presentations, newsletters, brochures, graphic and photographic illustrations, web content, and other collateral concerning the Associations? ; prepare or edit talking points or other materials as needed * Support community outreach strategies; coordinate outreach events * Work with requisite media, web and social networking monitoring and analytical tools; analyze and interpret data, identify trends and prepare professional reports for senior leadership * Plan, schedule and maintain master editorial calendars as well as outreach and social media calendars * Act as a brand steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency in all projects. * Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field * Three to five years of public relations or communications experience, with at least three of those years within a professional setting (strong candidates with internship experience will be considered) * Advanced computer skills including high level knowledge and ability with the Internet and web-based applications, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and experience with database software and/or record keeping software and project management applications. * Experience in Microsoft SharePoint * Experience with Enterprise projects * Knowledge of journalistic principles and practices and the techniques of planning, composing, and editing informational materials * Knowledge and skill in the use of methods and techniques of disseminating information to the public * Knowledge of marketing and advertising practices and techniques * Knowledge of commercial art methods and the general principles of layout and design * Ability to create and edit communications, job aids, and other assets to help end users successfully adopt new tools and systems * Ability to compose and produce a variety of informational materials for release to media or publications * Ability to conduct research and find pertinent and newsworthy information * Ability to use a variety of desktop publishing software packages and/or internet formatting languages * Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the general public * Ability to communicate and make presentations to internal and external stakeholders, employee groups, and the general public * Ability to work additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines and during a catastrophe
