Demand Generation Marketing Manager - ELS

Overview:

Blackhawk Network (BHN) is seeking an experienced Manager, Demand Generation to lead a

high

performing

team responsible for driving qualified pipeline across key lines of business. As a

first

line

people manager in the Demand Gen job family (P7), you will lead a pod of demand generation specialists, ensuring flawless execution of

multi

channel

campaigns and programs that convert interest into measurable revenue impact.

Reporting to the Director, Demand Generation, you will own team performance, coaching, and career development, while also playing a hands

on role in campaign planning, optimization, and reporting. This role balances people leadership (~50%) with strategic and operational ownership of campaigns, reporting, and process (~50%).

The ideal candidate thrives in fast

paced, cross

functional environments, is comfortable owning aggressive pipeline and SQO targets, and knows how to translate strategy into day

to

day execution across paid media, events, lifecycle/email, and web campaigns.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & People Management

Lead, coach, and develop a

small

team of demand generation specialists; provide clear goals, regular feedback, and formal performance reviews.

Build and

maintain

a

high

performance

culture focused on pipeline, SQOs, and revenue contribution, while supporting employee growth and engagement.

Own resource planning, work allocation, and prioritization across your pod to ensure delivery against deadlines and SLAs with internal stakeholders.

Recruit, onboard, and develop talent; partner with HR and leadership on career paths, promotions, and development plans for your team.

Demand Generation Strategy & Execution

Design and implement integrated demand generation strategies (digital, events, email, website, ABM, partner, and

content

driven

plays) with clear goals and success metrics.

Partner with Strategic Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, and SDR leadership to align programs to ICP, personas, segments, and

go

to

market

priorities.

Oversee team development and execution of campaign briefs, project plans, and calendars, ensuring strong alignment of messaging, offers, and channels.

Ensure measurement plans are in place for every campaign, including definitions for MQLs, SALs, SQOs, and key funnel conversion metrics.

Performance, Analytics & Optimization

Be accountable for campaign performance across your pod; regularly review pipeline, SQOs, conversion, and ROI metrics and drive optimization plans.

Translate data into actionable insights, with clear recommendations for channel mix, audience targeting, creative, and offer testing.

Partner with Marketing Operations and Analytics to

maintain

a consistent reporting cadence (weekly/monthly/quarterly) for your

pod's

programs.

Support and enforce usage of standard dashboards and reporting frameworks across your team to ensure comparability and visibility.

Process, Tools & Collaboration

Champion consistent use of core marketing systems (e.g., marketing automation, CRM, Workfront/project management, and analytics tools) across your team.

Work closely with Marketing Operations and system admins to improve workflows, templates, intake forms, and routing rules that

impact

your pod.

Drive

cross

functional

collaboration with Paid Media, Content, Events, Web, SDRs, and Sales to maximize impact and

maintain

a cohesive customer journey.

Contribute to and help enforce best practices and playbooks for campaign planning, QA, launch, and

post

mortem

reviews.

Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing

, Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

3

years of relevant B2B marketing experience, with a strong focus on demand generation and pipeline creation for complex products or services. 2+ years of direct

people

management

experience, leading campaign managers,

demand

gen

specialists, or similar roles.

Proven

track record

designing, executing, and

optimizing

multi

channel

campaigns (e.g., paid media, email, events, webinars, content syndication) that drive SQOs and revenue.

Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data, present

insights

and recommendations to leadership, and adjust plans based on results.

Professional

level

proficiency

with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and

executive

ready

presentations.

Experience working with a marketing automation platform (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or similar) and a CRM (e.g., Salesforce).

Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written); able to clearly communicate plans, risks, and status to stakeholders at multiple levels.

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and

maintain

high attention to detail.

Preferred

Experience leading demand generation programs for B2B technology, payments, SaaS, or similar industries.

Hands

on

experience with Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other paid media platforms, either directly or through agency partners.

Familiarity with ABM platforms, intent tools, or advanced targeting/segmenting technologies is a plus.

Advanced experience with Workfront or other project management tools, including

use

of templates, custom forms, dashboards, and

intake

workflows.

Experience

leveraging

AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to increase productivity in planning, content creation, or analysis.
