Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Digital E-commerce Strategist to drive exceptional growth for our publishing catalog through strategic leadership of our digital marketplace advertising and online retail presence. This is a hybrid position based out of our Grand Rapids, MI or Nashville, TN offices. Responsibilities: • Own and optimize the marketplace advertising strategy, including sponsored product listings and brand visibility campaigns • Take full ownership of brand store development, optimization, and performance on major retail platforms • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance product detail pages with compelling content and optimized metadata • Master and continuously refine advanced keyword development strategies to maximize search visibility and conversion • Demonstrate exceptional competitive analysis to identify and capitalize on marketplace opportunities • Establish and monitor key performance metrics for all digital marketplace advertising initiatives, including advertising cost of sale, return on ad spend, and conversion rates • Design and execute A/B tests for ad copy, targeting parameters, and bidding strategies to continuously improve campaign performance • Collaborate with metadata specialists to ensure optimal product listings, enhanced content, and SEO-friendly descriptions • Analyze online retail trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and strategic advantages • Produce detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports with actionable insights and strategic recommendations • Partner with product marketing teams to align marketplace strategies with broader marketing objectives • Manage advertising budgets efficiently to maximize impact while controlling costs • Stay current with marketplace algorithm changes, retail policies, and emerging e-commerce opportunities Qualifications: Work Experience: • 7-8 years of marketing experience with preference for at least 3 years directly managing digital marketplace advertising campaigns • Proven track record of driving e-commerce growth through data-driven optimization strategies • Experience with leading online retail advertising platforms, analytics dashboards, and advertising management tools • Demonstrated success in designing and optimizing brand stores and product detail pages • Background in digital marketing with emphasis on search marketing, metadata optimization, and conversion strategies • Publishing industry experience preferred, particularly with book metadata standards and e-commerce dynamics
