About the InternshipWe're looking for a creative, curious, and self-motivated individual interested in learning digital marketing and social media strategy.
This is a student-centered educational internship, not a traditional marketing position.
Rather than following a rigid list of assigned marketing tasks, you'll have the freedom to research strategies, explore different platforms, develop creative ideas, and experiment with marketing techniques using Desert Candle Works as a real-world learning environment.
We'll provide a structured digital marketing learning guide, educational resources, suggested weekly experiments, business-owner supervision, and opportunities for feedback.
You'll also have the flexibility to explore additional marketing topics based on your interests and academic goals.
What You'll Have the Opportunity to Learn• Social Media Marketing: Explore strategies for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest.

Content Creation: Develop skills in product photography, short-form video, storytelling, and copywriting.Digital Marketing Strategy: Research target audiences, competitors, branding, and customer engagement.Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Learn how businesses improve their visibility in search results.Email Marketing: Explore campaign planning, email design, and customer engagement.Marketing Analytics: Learn to measure engagement, website traffic, conversions, and campaign performance.You'll have opportunities to design and test your own marketing experiments, reflect on the results, and develop a portfolio showcasing your work.

Creative mindset and willingness to research and experiment.Strong communication skills.Self-motivated and comfortable with independent learning.Familiarity with social media platforms is helpful but not required.Must live in the Greater Phoenix area and be available for occasional in-person collaboration.Current college students, particularly those studying Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields, are encouraged to apply.No professional marketing experience is required. This opportunity is designed for learning and skill development.
