Required Experience:
Front-end development utilizing HTML/CSS to build and code responsive/accessible marketing/transactional emails that meet brand guidelines and email best practices. Some basic content landing page creation may be required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience designing and coding for email or web.
Proficient in current email best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, and CAN-SPAM regulations.
Minimum 2 years’ experience coding with HTML/CSS for email or websites
Minimum 2 years’ experience designing for email/web, with an understanding of responsive design and accessibility
Minimum 2 years’ experience building emails/testing in an Email Service Provider (ESP)
Tools and Technology:
Experience working with an ESP, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop).
Understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Email Developer to join our dynamic Digital Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and quality-assuring (QA) marketing and transactional emails that deploy from the client. This role requires a strong understanding of HTML/CSS, responsive design, CAN-SPAM requirements, and accessibility standards. Additionally, the Email Developer may assist in the building of landing pages and online forms to support various other marketing initiatives.
This position reports to the Director of Digital Marketing who oversees four email designers/coders. Our team reports into the AVP of Digital Marketing – he oversees four teams including: MarTech, Paid Search, Email Marketing Managers, Email Designers/Coders. We are an enterprise team that supports all line of business partners.
Type of application:
Develop/Modify external marketing/transactional emails, basic content landing pages, and possibly online forms.
Primarily working on rebranding/coding existing emails.
Testing the application/software:
They will be responsible for QA/testing the emails they create, as well as troubleshooting HTML/performance and rendering issues when they arise.
To QA other team members' coded emails, when assigned.
Soft skills/competencies:
Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work around tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Keen eye for design.
Preferred Skill and Background:
Knowledge of Email on Acid/Mailgun Inspect or Movable Ink is a plus.
Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s AMPscript language is a plus.
Experience with JavaScript is a plus.
Experience in the financial services industry.
