The Director, Consumer Brand Advertising and Social Strategy is responsible for advancing Ally’s consumer-facing brand campaigns and social media presence through leadership, cross-functional collaboration and strong agency management... This role is responsible for leading the team that develops end-to-end multi-channel campaigns from strategic, creative briefs through execution and performance reporting as well as Ally’s social media & influencer strategy and presence across all platforms. The Work Itself • Lead strategic and creative go-to-market plans in conjunction with Ally’s brand advertising efforts for all consumer and social campaigns • Lead and develop social media strategy, including influencer partnerships & activations, for the Ally brand, ensuring messaging across social platforms effectively represents the brand to position Ally as best in class • Manage team responsible for Consumer advertising, Media Integrations, Influencer Marketing and Social Media including campaign management, planning & channel mix (including but not limited to video, ooh, social & digital), organic social and influencer management and content creation, working with internal and external partners • Lead cross-functional campaign management teams to define strategy, develop and orchestrate on-time execution for advertising programs that drive growth for the brand • Responsible for continuous monitoring and advancement of performance of campaigns / programs (monthly social scorecard, campaign reporting, etc) and defining learning agenda, partnering closely with analytics, community management, and agency teams • Proactively identify gaps in process and work collaboratively to enhance and streamline for efficiency. The Skills You Bring • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, PR or Marketing • 7+ years of professional experience in a marketing or business-related field • 5 plus years of experience leading marketing strategies • Prior experience managing direct reports • Detailed experience with consumer brand marketing and advertising with a strong understanding of production timelines & how-to bring multi-channel campaigns to life • Proficient in social media & influencer marketing with a strong understanding of social storytelling, social production and building followers that become advocates • Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive level presentation • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues inside and outside the organization • Results-driven with ability to pivot, evolve and advance the work • Exceptional collaboration skills, maintaining strong cross-functional partnerships and fostering a team environment • Strong ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and self-motivated • Works well under pressure and is able to meet tight deadlines • Ability to work and make appropriate decisions independently • Creative minded with an ability to conceive, communicate and deliver strategic campaigns • Strong Microsoft Office skills with expertise in PowerPoint • Prior advertising agency experience highly preferred • Knowledge of financial services business preferred Our Total Rewards program includes industry-leading compensation and benefits plus additional incentives that are designed to meet your needs and those of your family so you can get the most out of your career and your life, including : • Time Away : 11 paid holidays, 20 paid time off days, and 8 hours of volunteer time off, yearly (paid time off is prorated based on start date) • Planning for the Future : plan for the near and long term with an industry-leading 401K retirement savings plan with matching and company contributions, student loan pay downs and 529 educational save up assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, employee stock purchase plan, and financial learning center and financial coach access.
