Director of Advertising Sales

We are seeking a Director of Advertising Sales who possess strong sales experience in advertising or direct sales to develop and maintain an exclusive territory on the Florida Gulf Coast (Sarasota & Manatee Counties). The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, love working with people, is a proactive self-starter who possesses exceptional sales and multi-tasking skills, holds phenomenal customer service skills, and has superb communication skills (both oral and written). Responsibilities (include but not limited to): • Sell print & digital advertising to new and existing clients • Prospect and contact potential clients (candidate is expected to generate new business opportunities) • Reach agreed upon sales targets • Resolve client inquiries and complaints • Serve as a community liaison within the local territory • Must interact with client, become familiar with their product and/or service to better provide them the assistance and support • Set follow-up appointments to keep close relations with clients • Moderate monthly educational events for our audience of seniors/caregivers promoting our advertisers in an educational format (both virtual and in-person) • Work collaboratively with the in-house team • Have excellent communications skills and be a people person • Be comfortable to form new relationships, make cold connections and solicitations • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Deliver results and meet deadlines • Attend local partner events across multiple counties • Conduct routine partnership analysis and maintenance • Ensure both our company and clients adhere to contract terms, and that all deliverables are met prior to renewal • Work closely with the production team in preparation for print publishing • Work closely with the client relations team in managing partnerships and record keeping • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude Qualifications: • Previous experience in sales is a must • High-Energy • Familiarity with CRM platforms • Ability to build rapport with clients • Strong negotiation skills • Deadline and detail-oriented • Able to multi-task • Good time management skills • A customer-oriented attitude • Proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) • Problem-solver that is confident and a self-starter • Quick turn-around and responsiveness is essential • Must be flexible with working hours; be available for afterhours/weekend work if necessary (specifically during a sales campaign) • Ability to work well with a small team The role is a REMOTE position based out of your own home office, but candidate needs to live in Sarasota, Manatee or Charlotte Counties.
