A leading applied technology organization focused on advanced manufacturing and innovation is seeking a Director of Business Development & Marketing to lead strategy, execution, and performance across business development, marketing, and communications functions. The position is responsible for leading a high-performing team, developing market strategies, and expanding relationships across industry, government, and commercial sectors. Business Development • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and funding sources • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients and strategic partners • Develop long-term relationships across industry, government, and partner organizations • Utilize CRM systems to track pipeline activity, forecasting, and customer engagement • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities • Develop strategies to expand partnerships and revenue streams Required Qualifications • 7–12 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing • Proven success in driving revenue growth, partnerships, and customer engagement • Experience working in a technical, manufacturing, or technology-driven environment • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams • Strong executive presence and communication skills • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing senior leadership • Ability to translate business objectives into actionable strategies • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar) • Willingness to travel as needed • U.S. citizenship required to meet regulatory compliance requirements This is a full-time role in a professional office environment with regular collaboration across teams and external stakeholders.
