Job Description

Yuit Communications is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Client Services to lead and strengthen the agency’s client relationships, account management function, and service delivery model.

This role plays a critical leadership function within the agency. The Director of Client Services oversees Account Managers, Account Coordinators, and Project Managers while ensuring the agency consistently delivers exceptional client experiences, strong strategic guidance, and measurable marketing outcomes.

Working closely with the President and department leaders, this individual will help shape the agency’s client strategy, support revenue growth within existing accounts, and identify new opportunities to expand client partnerships.

Role Overview

The Director of Client Services serves as the senior leader responsible for client relationship management across the agency.

This individual ensures that client accounts are strategically supported, internal teams are aligned, and projects are executed with excellence. They provide leadership to the client services team, establish best practices for client communication and account growth, and work cross-functionally with creative, media, production, and strategy teams to deliver impactful marketing solutions.

In addition to managing client relationships, the Director of Client Services will work closely with agency leadership on strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and future growth opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

Client Relationship Leadership
• Oversee and strengthen relationships with the agency’s key client accounts
• Ensure clients receive proactive strategic guidance and exceptional service
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex client issues or strategic discussions
• Participate in high-level client meetings and presentations when needed
• Maintain visibility across all major client initiatives to ensure alignment with agency standards

Account Growth & Retention
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships
• Partner with Account Managers to develop strategic growth plans for client accounts
• Monitor account health, ensuring long-term client retention and satisfaction
• Support proposal development, new initiatives, and scope expansion opportunities
• Contribute to business development efforts and agency growth initiatives

Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and mentor the agency’s client services team, including Account Managers, Account Coordinators, and Project Managers
• Establish clear expectations, processes, and performance standards for the team
• Support team members in developing strong client management and strategic thinking skills
• Ensure the team maintains strong organization, communication, and accountability across projects
• Foster a collaborative and positive team culture

Cross-Department Collaboration
• Work closely with creative, media, strategy, and production teams to ensure alignment across departments
• Ensure client expectations are clearly communicated internally and reflected in project plans
• Help remove operational bottlenecks that may impact project delivery
• Support efficient workflows between account services, project management, and internal teams

Operational Leadership
• Help refine agency processes related to client communication, project planning, and service delivery
• Improve systems that support efficient project management and client reporting
• Ensure visibility across major agency initiatives and timelines
• Support leadership in strengthening the agency’s operational structure

Strategic Agency Initiatives
• Partner with the President on agency strategy, growth planning, and operational improvements
• Contribute to long-term initiatives that strengthen the agency’s market position
• Support the agency’s expansion into new markets and industries
• Identify opportunities to improve service offerings and client value

Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in account management, client services, or agency leadership
• Prior experience managing client-facing teams within an advertising, marketing, or creative agency preferred
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities within client accounts
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience working across creative, digital, advertising, and production teams
• Ability to navigate complex client relationships with professionalism and confidence

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 DOE + up to 10% annual performance bonus

This is a full-time position based in Anchorage, Alaska.

Schedule:
