Discover Central Massachusetts is the regional travel and tourism bureau that represents the city of Worcester and 34 surrounding communities. The mission of Discover Central Massachusetts is to market the region as a competitive destination for travel and tourism; as well as conventions, meetings and events. This role reports to the President of Discover Central MA What You’ll Lead: • Creative Direction: Establish and steward the visual and narrative identity of Discover Central Massachusetts across campaigns, content, and platforms • Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies that drive visitation, engagement, and brand awareness • Campaign Leadership: Direct agency partners, media vendors, and internal workflows to deliver high-impact, insight-driven campaigns • Growth & Membership: Oversee membership strategy including recruitment, retention, and revenue growth; position membership as a core marketing engine • Content & Channels: Guide content strategy across social, digital, email, PR, and experiential activations • Analytics & Performance: Translate data into actionable insights, optimize campaigns, and communicate results to stakeholders and members • Brand & Community Presence: Serve as a visible ambassador for the organization at events, partnerships, and industry engagements What We’re Looking For: • A strategic marketing leader with a strong creative point of view • Proven experience leading integrated campaigns from concept through execution and measurement • Background in partnerships, client services, or business development with revenue accountability • Exceptional storytelling, communication, and presentation skills • Ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution • Experience managing agencies, vendors, or cross-functional collaborators • Passion for place-based marketing, tourism, hospitality, or community-building
