Director of Marketing

Prestige Consumer Healthcare Tarrytown, New York $195,000–$225,000 a year

Prestige Consumer Healthcare is a company that focuses on product innovation and quality in the over-the-counter healthcare and women’s health categories to better improve the lives of our customers and their world. For generations, our trusted brands have helped consumers care for themselves and their loved ones. We are one of the largest independent providers of over-the-counter products in North America, and we are constantly improving and creating products that match the ever-changing lifestyles and needs of people and families everywhere.

**JOB SUMMARY:**
Women's health is one of the most under-served, fast-changing, and culturally charged spaces in consumer health. Prestige owns two of its most recognizable brands: an icon with decades of equity and a point of view waiting to be sharpened, and a category leader in a segment being reshaped by new access models, new consumer expectations, and new competitors.

We're looking for a leader to set the direction for both brands, and to help define where the category goes next. This is a role for someone who is excited by a brand and a category at an inflection point and has a keen ability to bring a vision and inspiration to rally everyone around executing against it.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES/ACTIVIES**:

* Set the vision. Define a bold, differentiated future for each brand and for the portfolio, grounded in a deep understanding of women's needs and the culture around them.
* Rally the organization. Turn strategy into a story that Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, and the executive team want to help build. You'll be the brand's chief evangelist, inside and out.
* Step-change performance now and for the future. Lead brands through moments that require more than incremental thinking: repositioning, portfolio and architecture redesign, new growth platforms, and new ways of showing up with consumers and partners.
* Fix the foundation. Strengthen the commercial engine beneath the brands to unlock growth, including portfolio strategy, SKU rationalization, channel strategy, pricing and mix, and distribution health.
* Invest with rigor. Make the case for where marketing dollars work hardest and hold every investment to clear return metrics across retail, ecommerce, media and all parts of the marketing mix.
* Take calculated risks. Design smart tests, learn quickly, and scale what works. Be comfortable making a call when the data doesn't give a clean answer.
* Execute flawlessly. Move fluidly between the boardroom and the details, from strategy to execution.
* Build the team. Coach and grow a high-performing team with an entrepreneurial, curious, ownership mindset.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

* 10+ years in brand management and marketing, including 3+ years leading people and complex brand portfolios
* A track record of turning around or reinventing a brand or category, with results in both growth and margin
* Creative vision paired with commercial and analytical rigor: syndicated data, gross-to-net, trade spend, price-pack architecture, and channel economics
* Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the presence to inspire cross-functional teams and influence senior leaders
* Ecommerce and retail media fluency, with Amazon experience a plus
* Experience in OTC, health and wellness, beauty, or personal care preferred; comfort with stigmatized or sensitive categories is a strong advantage
* Resilience and appetite for solving hard problems: you're energized by complexity, not deterred by it.

**Travel**: 10% ability to travel via car, plane, rail.

**WHY JOIN:**

Two brands with real equity and real room to grow. A public company with the scale to invest behind a good idea. A category that's ready for a leader who will define it, and direct visibility with senior leadership while you do.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS:**

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:**

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
