The Director of Marketing will oversee marketing, public relations, media and social media for Catholic schools in Baltimore and nine surrounding counties that comprise the Archdiocese of Baltimore, as well as serve as the staff writer for the department of Catholic Schools. Additionally, this role will support and manage marketing initiatives for the Archdiocese as a whole, ensuring alignment with broader communications efforts. Essential Functions: • Marketing: The Director of Marketing will manage the marketing for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, including its Catholic schools, Catholic Review, and broad Archdiocesan initiatives. • Media relations: Serve as media contact for Archdiocesan Catholic schools and Department of Catholic Schools and support broader Archdiocesan media efforts; write press releases and media advisories, pitch stories and respond to media requests; develop and maintain positive relationships with members of the media (editorial and ad reps). Position Qualifications: • College degree, preferably in marketing, public relations, communications or related field • Five-plus years of related professional experience • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and work well in fast-paced environment • Commitment to teachings of Catholic Church • Experience with Catholic schools a plus • Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint a plus
