Director of Teacher Education

The Director of Teacher Education will support the strategic vision for teacher education in partnership with the Associate Dean for Educator Preparation in the College of Education (CoE). Collaborate with CoE faculty and staff, as well as with state entities (Maryland State Department of Education, Maryland Higher Education Commission, Association of Advanced Quality Educator Preparation, and local schools and education agencies). Serve as UMD Certification Officer (with support from Student Services staff) and UMD liaison to the Maryland State Department of Education for certification and educator preparation.
