Director, Social Media and Digital Advertising

Reports to: Vice President, Web Operations The ideal candidate will have the ability to both create highly engaging content and setup, optimize, and report on a wide range of digital advertising campaigns. Marketing and Development • Share the mission of Best Buddies through the creation of daily programmatic and fundraising event promotional posts across multiple social networks (primarily, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn) • Develop and execute plans to grow followers across all existing and new social media platforms • Maintain a thorough understanding of the organization’s programs and goals • Create relationships with staff in the field to develop a pipeline of compelling content • Work closely with the Communications and Email teams to deliver cohesive national and regional messaging that is shared across all messaging channels throughout the year • Support Sponsorship and Development team in executing co-branded social media commitments on behalf of partners • Collaborate within internal departments and outside agencies on results-oriented social media campaigns • Abide by and uphold branding guidelines • Assist with the creation, management and optimization of digital marketing campaigns that promote fundraising events, ecommerce, and other campaigns including search, social, and display ads (primarily, but not limited to, Facebook, GoogleAds, YouTube, and Instagram) • Evaluate and present on new opportunities for social media engagement and digital advertising Operations • Produce at minimum 6 pieces of social media content per week for our @bestbuddies and @bestbuddieschallenge social media accounts • Measure and report on the growth of social media follower and key engagement metrics • Measure and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns • Collaborate with finance staff to set and stay within campaign ad budgets • Respond to social media direct messages and comments • Provide support and training to social media account managers in the field • Handle special projects relating to the above responsibilities as assigned • Works evenings and weekends, as necessary, to complete assignments • Travel to national fundraising events to support and document events on social media (approximately 3-5 events per year) • Travel as needed in and around Miami, FL to support and document events on social media • Provide weekly documentation of work
