Education for Change - Student Recruitment Specialist (Part-time)

The Student Recruitment Specialist collaborates with school based student recruitment and enrollment leads to develop timelines, meaningful social media content, advertising collateral, and other planning materials critical for the success of each school’s enrollment targets. Responsibilities: Outreach Create outreach timeline, and support site teams to initiate the site-led recruitment actions Manage/update database of preschools/middle schools/CBOs Build relationships with appropriate leaders at preschools/middle schools/CBOs Send flyers/brochures to partners annually for distribution to families Create master presentation materials for sites to customize Annually survey EFC families to develop and manage list of siblings ages 1-4 Recruitment/application management Create application management timeline, and support site teams to initiate the site-led application management actions Channel contacts generated by ads to the site recruitment leads Build scripts/Q&As; for site staff for interested families Work closely with FilmTwist staff on content of advertising Track data on effectiveness of advertising campaign Analyze and report out on sources of student applicants Collaborate closely with Director of Data to analyze neighborhood demographic data and trends Marketing/branding Create social media campaign timeline, and support site teams to initiate the site-led social media postings Work closely with Director of Talent Acquisition on developing and curating a library of videos, images for recruitment, and high quality, compelling recruitment collateral Engage regularly with Director of Talent Acquisition, Chief Academic Officer, and social media champions at school sites to collect and develop content for interesting social media postings Work with the Superintendent and ensure her communications are shared via social media Ensure content on website remains current Required Qualifications: Possesses deep knowledge of East Oakland and its diverse communities Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish Strong organization and time management skills Exceptional layout and design skills used to create captivating, meaningful social media posts and collateral Facility and an interest in social media as a tool for increasing engagement of community around EFC Ability to analyze and use data to inform recruitment strategy Strategic thinker who can collect and analyze best practices with respect to social media/student recruitment approaches and make recommendations to the Management Team and Site Leaders Strong collaborator EFC Core Values Connected- We continually work to build trusting relationships among students, families, staff, and the Oakland community at large.
