Engineering Manager, Ads ML

Leading a team focused on model optimization and efficiency, the remote Engineering Manager, Ads ML will manage ML engineers to enhance model training, reduce latency, and develop performance tooling while driving measurable efficiency improvements across Ads ML. Key responsibilities Hire, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of ML engineers focused on model optimization Define the roadmap for training and inference optimization, ensuring reusable efficiency primitives Drive reductions in model training time, online latency, and serving costs while developing efficiency certification systems Required qualifications Deep ML engineering experience with a strong understanding of model training, serving, and optimization Hands-on optimization background with direct experience in improving training loops and model efficiency Strong managerial ability with experience in building and leading technical teams Fluency in distributed systems and production-scale ML system tradeoffs Experience in ads ranking, recommender systems, or adjacent production ML domains is preferred
