Event Planner & Coordinator

Spanish Marie, is Miami’s prohibition-era craft brewery located in The Hammocks, FL. We are a rapidly growing brewery operating a beer garden, speakeasy, and brewery filled with great beer, food & entertainment. * Work with patrons to develop and execute corporate or social events on premise. from vendors, suppliers and clients prior to event * Prepare a detailed overview of the event and distribute to all parties involved * Oversee the ordering of event supplies such as wristbands, glassware, plasticware, decorations, event attire, printouts, party supplies, etc * Control operating budget and maintain a record of accountability for all event expenses * Attend each event assisting or managing on-side logistics and operations from load-in, set-up, execution and load-out * Handle customer service issues with discretion and professionalism * Staff and train for each event * Supervise employees to ensure proper behavior while on the job * Respond to incoming web and phone leads in a timely manner * Follow up with clients post event to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business * Schedule, prepare for and conduct presentations * Assist with content gathering for event promotion, advertising and public relations * Leverage social media to successfully prospect and build a professional network * Represent Spanish Marie at networking and industry events * Attend staff meetings * Perform other duties as assigned * Possess stamina and resilience to work a full day on-site - standing and walking for extended periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures * Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem-solving, decision making, conflict management, customer service, and organizational skills * Sales and presentation skills are absolutely required * Must be extremely detail orientated and highly organized * Must be a proactive self-starter with strong follow-through capabilities and keen desire to create something special * Must be able to priorities multiple tasks and projects * Kitchen management experience is a plus * Equipment and event rental experience * Hosting experience * At all times positive, responsible and professional personality * Proven track record of all of the above * Managerial references required * Applicants without direct experience will not be considered
