Executive Retail Manager

The Ten Thousand Villages - Seattle Executive Manager is responsible for overall management of the Ten Thousand Villages store, personnel, marketing, and outreach. The Executive Manager is responsible for all day-to-day store operations, including sales and customer service, inventory management, daily accounting and banking functions, store appearance and display of merchandise, advertising and participation in organizational promotions, training and supervision of all staff (paid and volunteer) and oversight of all off-site sales. The Executive Manager plays an important leadership role in building staff morale; encouraging staff and volunteer commitment to the mission and values of Ten Thousand Villages and helps in creating a working harmony between Ten Thousand Villages paid and volunteer staff. ● Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations of the store as well as all store policies and the contract with Ten Thousand Villages U.S. ● Assist the Ten Thousand Villages – Seattle Board of Directors in identifying candidates for the Board of Directors, and in orientation of board members. Experience working with a Board of Directors or Advisory Board preferred.
