\\--------------------------------------- Kitsap Regional Farmers Market Association, Operating the Port Orchard Farmers Market (POFM) MARKET MANAGER DUTIES – SCOPE OF WORK Effective 2021 The Port Orchard Farmers Market (POFM) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, operated by a volunteer Executive Committee (EC), aka the Board, on behalf of its members, who are market vendors and community members. Be available for cell phone and email contact with staff and vendors during the work week and to be on site during the Market Day. Under the guidance of the POFM Farmers Market Executive Committee, the Market Manager will be responsible for: VITAL DUTIES of MANAGER: 1\\. Be on site 6am – 3pm each Saturday (or later if needed to accomplish all market day duties) a. Onboarding schedule: Pre-season (hire date through April 16 – (up to 9 hours weekly): Train primarily with the Market Administrator as well as the Secretary, Treasurer, and President, if needed Season start, Market Day Saturday (April 17th and 24th - up to 10 hours each day, see General work schedule for breakdown): Hands-on training with the Market Administrator as well as the Secretary, Treasurer, and President, if needed Season start, non-market day Sunday-Friday (up to 10 hours weekly, see General work schedule for breakdown) May 15th – Post-market progress and evaluation review General work schedule to include up to 20 hours weekly during the Market season through October 30: Non Market Days Sunday – Friday (up to 9 hours as needed for): Pre- and post- market day duties, including setting up “no parking” signs on Thursday Administration, meetings, email, phone calls Market Days Saturday 6:00am – 3:00pm, from April 17, 2021 through October 16, 2021, (9-10 hours) Set up & check in arriving vendors: 6:00am – 8:45am Market operates: 9:00am – 2:00pm Collect/count vendor reports and fees, take down and return property to storage: 2:00 – 3:00pm COMPENSATION – Market Manager Salary is $XX.XX an hour.
